Meet the Team: Kevin Clark
Kevin Clark joined Whitman Global Carpet & Floor Care, an APEX Surface Care Company, as relationship manager in March 2022. Kevin is passionate about building rapport with clients and earning their trust, ultimately ensuring their overall satisfaction. In his new role, Kevin will advise clients on solutions that meet their needs and resolve any issues while seeking out new business opportunities.
“Kevin has extensive experience supporting and engaging clients,” said Brendan Wires, regional president, Pacific Northwest, for APEX Surface Care, the parent company of Whitman Global. “His strong decision-making and strategic-planning skills will make him an invaluable asset as we continue to serve many of the most prestigious companies in the Puget Sound region.”
We sat down with Kevin to welcome him to the team and learn more about him, both personally and professionally.
1. Tell us a little bit about yourself.
I was born in Portland, Oregon, and moved to Federal Way, Washington, a city just south of Seattle, at a young age. I was very active in youth sports throughout high school. I attended Bates Technical College, earning a degree in television broadcasting. I have been married to my wonderful wife for 23 years and have lived in Puyallup, Washington, for the last 25 years. We have a 20-year-old daughter who is attending a local college and playing collegiate volleyball. I also have a stepson who is married and has three boys. Yes, we are loving the grandparent life!
2. Why did you decide to join the Whitman Global team?
I wanted to join a company that is invested in making a difference in the commercial real estate space and that offers a one-stop shop for all commercial space needs. In Seattle, the Whitman name is one of integrity and personal care.
3. How has your past experience prepared you for your new role?
I have many years of experience building long-lasting relationships with facility managers. I spent the last nine years with Aramark Refreshment Services, where I managed some of the company’s largest customers. My goal is to foster these relationships so that my clients know that I’m not only their go-to person, but more importantly, their advocate. I always have their best interests in mind. This allows me to retain my clients while growing my base business.
4. What are your hobbies?
I love to play golf when time permits. I also love to spend time with my family at our lake house and enjoy all of the water activities that go with it. And of course I enjoy watching my daughter play volleyball.
5. What's the most interesting article or book you've read lately?
Black in Blue: Lessons on Leadership, Breaking Barriers, and Racial Reconciliation by Carmen Best, the first Black female police chief of Seattle.
6. If you could only eat one meal for the rest of your life, what would it be?
Tri-tip cooked on my smoker.
7. What’s on your bucket list?
I hope to one day play Pebble Beach and the surrounding golf courses.
