Meet the Team: David Bremer
David Bremer joined APEX Group, a Diverzify Company, in February 2024. David brings more than a decade of experience in the commercial flooring and surface care industry to his new role. As vice president of sales and operations, he will lead the company’s strategic growth initiatives and overall operations in Northern California.
“David’s industry expertise and demonstrated ability to develop strong client relationships are a perfect complement to APEX Group’s commitment to setting a new standard in surface care and customer delight,” said Thomas Holland, president of APEX Group. “We look forward to his continued success as a valued member of our team.”
We sat down with David to welcome him to the team and learn more about him, both personally and professionally.
1. Tell us a little bit about yourself.
I’m originally from Cape Elizabeth, Maine, a suburb of Portland. I did my undergrad studies in New Hampshire and moved to San Francisco in 2007. I have been in Northern California for the last 14 years. My professional career has taken me through the nonprofit, restaurant, construction and facility management industries. I value time with my family and friends and greatly appreciate the lighter moments of laughter with those I love.
2. Why did you decide to join the APEX Group team?
After meeting several members of the APEX team, I found that APEX’s culture and goals aligned with my own. Like APEX, I have a passion for providing high-quality customer service while delivering superior services. An added benefit was the opportunity to provide customers with additional services through Diverzify’s network of brands, and I am excited to learn more about the companies that we will be partnering with for the installation of various surfaces.
3. How has your past experience prepared you for your new role?
Having worked in a variety of industries, I have developed an excitement for learning new skills, being an active listener, and always remaining curious about innovating new and more streamlined processes to help my team grow and succeed. I enjoy collaborating with team members to find solutions for clients. I strive to be personable and open to perspectives that may improve my understanding of how to better serve those I support in the workplace, from fellow employees to clients.
4. What are your hobbies?
I enjoy doing landscape photography in my free time. I am a certified scuba diver and have gone diving in Mexico, Fiji, Indonesia, Thailand and Hawaii. I grew up by the ocean and am at my happiest when I’m sailing or swimming. I enjoy cycling and mountain biking in my free time and taking our dog, Rosie, on various hikes throughout the Bay Area.
5. What's the most interesting article or book you've read lately?
I am reading a few books at the moment: The Boys in the Boat by Daniel James Brown, Let My People Go Surfing: The Education of a Reluctant Businessman by Yvon Chouinard, and Getting to Neutral: How to Conquer Negativity and Thrive in a Chaotic World by Trevor Moawad.
6. If you could only eat one meal for the rest of your life, what would it be?
Sushi
7. What's on your bucket list?
I’d like to go scuba diving in every ocean—I only have four left! I’ve also wanted to go skydiving in New Zealand after driving from the North Island down to the South Island. Something our family has been discussing is sailing a catamaran from the Bahamas to Australia.
