Meet the Team: Christy Earley
Christy Earley joined—or rejoined, rather—APEX Group in May 2024 as an account executive. Christy originally joined APEX Group in 2020 and made an immediate impact with her tremendous work ethic and contagious enthusiasm. Christy is responsible for supporting our clients and ensuring their surfaces receive the care and attention they deserve.
“I am delighted to have Christy back on the APEX Group team,” said Thomas Holland, president of APEX Group. “She is a consummate professional who is skilled at not just meeting but anticipating our clients’ needs.”
We recently sat down with Christy to welcome her back and learn more about her, both personally and professionally.
1. Tell us a little bit about yourself.
I moved around quite a bit growing up. I was born in Jacksonville, Arkansas; moved to Slidell, Louisiana, in middle school; moved to Irvine, California, the summer before my sophomore year in high school; and finally made my move to Texas in 1996. I have been here ever since. After changing my major several times and starting a family, I eventually graduated with my bachelor’s degree in business administration from LeTourneau University. I have two children: My son, Bailey, is 27, and my daughter, Kennedy, is 12. Kennedy and I live in Arlington with our dog, Duke, and newly acquired kitten, Charlie.
2. You previously worked for APEX Group for three years. Why did you decide to rejoin the team?
I left APEX about a year and a half ago to pursue another opportunity that just didn’t work out. I have had the most amazing homecoming since returning to APEX, and I am so grateful to be welcomed with open arms. It truly feels like family here!
3. How has your past experience prepared you for your new role?
Because I have prior experience with APEX, I feel like I’m living the old adage “It’s just like riding a bike.” I still have great relationships with previous customers with whom I am re-engaging, and I have several new relationships to introduce to APEX. I am excited to get the word out that I’m back.
4. What are your hobbies?
I love starting my day off by walking my dog—it brings me such joy to make him so happy! I wish such simple things like taking a daily walk would make humans that excited. I also enjoy playing water volleyball in the pool with my kids, cooking, reading, binge-watching a good series on rainy weekends, and sharing nice bottles of wine with family and friends. I’m also a certified Zumba instructor and licensed massage therapist, but I don’t have enough spare time to do either of those very much!
5. What's the most interesting article or book you've read lately?
I am in the process of reading The Anxious Generation: How the Great Rewiring of Childhood Is Causing an Epidemic of Mental Illness by Jonathan Haidt. My daughter was recently diagnosed with ADHD, anxiety, and depression, so I am diving into everything I can get my hands on to understand and navigate this new challenging chapter of parenthood.
6. If you could only eat one meal for the rest of your life, what would it be?
I’d have to say a charcuterie board—and wine, of course!
7. What's on your bucket list?
I have been OBSESSED with sharks (specifically great white sharks) since I was a very little girl. I have been open swimming with nurse sharks and whale sharks, so now it’s time to swim (probably in a cage because my friends won’t let me open dive) with a great white! Shark Week is my absolute favorite week of the year—it always gives me ideas of where to go.
