Meet the Team: Melissa Mendiola
Melissa Mendiola joined APEX Group, a Diverzify Company, as an account executive in June 2025. In her new role, Melissa will build strong relationships with clients in the Austin/San Antonio area and identify the best solutions for their facilities’ needs.
“Melissa brings deep expertise in driving growth and taking care of clients,” said Thomas Holland, president of APEX Group. “I have no doubt she will succeed and be an instrumental part of our team.”
We recently sat down with Melissa to welcome her to the team and learn more about her, both personally and professionally.
1. Tell us a little bit about yourself.
I was born in Denver, Colorado, and moved to Texas when I was 3 years old. I grew up in Wimberley and now live in Round Rock with my amazing boyfriend, Tony; my two daughters, Kayley and Kacey; and our adorable little dogs. I love bringing energy and positivity to everything I do, and I’m all about making meaningful connections with the people around me. I believe life is an adventure, and I’m excited to see what new experiences this chapter will bring.
2. Why did you decide to join the APEX Group team?
I was really drawn to APEX because of its strong structure and culture, which perfectly align with my career goals. It’s a place where I feel I can grow, contribute, and thrive. Plus, the team’s innovative spirit and commitment to excellence really inspired me—I knew I wanted to be part of something dynamic and forward-thinking. I’m ready to bring my energy and enthusiasm to help us all succeed together!
3. How has your past experience prepared you for your new role?
My previous roles have given me a wide range of skills from leadership to problem-solving, and I’ve learned how to stay adaptable and positive under pressure. I love turning challenges into opportunities and believe my background has prepared me to bring fresh ideas and a proactive mindset to the team. I’m all about making a positive impact and helping us reach new heights.
4. What are your hobbies?
I absolutely love to cook and bake—it’s my creative outlet and a way I show love to my family and friends. Whether it’s trying out new recipes or hosting dinner parties, I thrive on good food and great company. I also enjoy exploring new places, going on family adventures, and making memories that last a lifetime. Life’s too short not to have fun and enjoy the little moments!
5. What's the most interesting article or book you've read lately?
The most recent book I read is Too Emotional by Reagan Pugh. It really spoke to me because it explores embracing our emotions and understanding ourselves better. I think everyone can benefit from a little more self-awareness and vulnerability; it’s what makes us human and connects us even more deeply with others. Plus, it’s a great reminder to stay true to myself.
6. If you could only eat one meal for the rest of your life, what would it be?
Tacos or pizza—they’re my go-to comfort foods that never get old! Whether they’re loaded with toppings or a simple classic, these meals make every day feel like a celebration. They’re also versatile enough to keep things exciting, and I’m all about that variety.
7. What's on your bucket list?
Traveling the world and going on epic adventures with my family is at the top of my list. I want to explore new cultures, try new foods, and create unforgettable memories along the way. Life is about experiences, and I believe the best stories come from stepping outside your comfort zone and embracing new challenges. Here’s to chasing dreams and making every moment count!
